This is awesome - thank you and well done for taking a stand.
Someone at work today, a Jewish immigrant educated at Cambridge, came out with the "a lot of my friends say they can't talk about immigration without being called racist" - and I said, people talk about immigration all the time, and when they're called racist it's usually because what they're saying is actually racist!
She then said "what she [Duffy] said wasn't all that bad" - to which I suggested, substitute "Eastern European" for "Jews" then tell me it wasn't all that bad.
This article, and the one yesterday, rock. Stick to your guns. Duffy and her defenders are bigots. The only thing which separates an immigrant from an English person is race. To divide people on the basis of where they're from and how long they've been in the UK is fucking bigoted and I wish it could stop.
But wishing for it to stop won't help. We need to get angry, and we need to fight back. Ignore this crap about "if you get angry, you're as bad as your enemies." Fuck that, that's what losers say. Fight back. Don't back down.
