The press today is an army with carefully organized weapons, the journalists its officers, the readers its soldiers... as in every army, the soldier obeys blindly... [and] neither knows nor is supposed to know the purposes for which he is used and the role he is to play. There is no more appalling caricature of freedom of thought. Formerly no one was allowed to think freely; now it is permitted, but no one is capable of it any more. Now people want to think only what they are supposed to want to think, and this they consider freedom. - Oswald Spengler

Looking at some of the other comments, PLEASE: there are not "X" amount of jobs which can somehow be distributed to British workers and foreign workers. That is the most STUPID thing people tend to believe! Has it never occurred to you that, the more people contribute to an economy, the more jobs there will be? I.e.: If you want more British jobs for British workers, INCREASE immigration, so the jobs can be created. There is a unanimous consensus among economists that immigration boosts the economy, especially the export sector! But try explaining that to the Duffy's of this worls: it is impossible, as they are not used to using their brains.
